The cost of the DTEL-IX public peering service includes:

  • one IPv4 and/or IPv6 address for building sessions with route servers;
  • module (transceiver) on our side, guaranteed to be compatible with our equipment.

Additional services available exclusively to DTEL-IX members:

Private VLAN

Organization of private VLANs via the L2 platform of DTEL-IX is a fast and cost-effective way to build a virtual connection with your partners without the cost of physical switching and monthly payments because VLAN organization is charged one time.

Unit location

Only DTEL-IX members benefit from per-unit colocation of network equipment in the DTEL-IX datacenter, and colocation of server equipment is available in the DTEL-IX module in DC BE MOBILE as well.

Hack CAPEX service

Long-term lease of network equipment (switches, routers) at your request without advance payments, installation fees, and additional costs for its colocation because the cost of colocation in the DTEL-IX data center and the DTEL-IX module in DC BE MOBILE is included in the monthly payment for the equipment rental.

More about the public peering service

The public peering service allows the operator—the member—to exchange traffic with the maximum number of networks through a single connection port to the IXP.

Public peering allows the member to:

  • improve the connectivity of their network and direct traffic along the shortest route,
  • optimize the costs of IP transit,
  • reserve network routes and improve the fault tolerance of the network,
  • aggregate the traffic of your peer partners and save on crossings in data centers,
  • flexibly manage traffic and protect against DDOS attacks,
  • manage outgoing traffic, focusing on the countries and continents of networks connected to the point.

To organize the exchange with the maximum number of networks, the member can use the route server service.

The member can also create direct peer-to-peer connections with other members through a single connection port to DTEL-IX. Direct peer-to-peer connections between DTEL-IX members are carried out on the basis of direct bilateral agreements, the form of which is determined by the members themselves. DTEL-IX does not participate in the conclusion of these agreements and does not affect the peer-to-peer policy of the members. Upon reaching an agreement, BGP communication is established between the networks.
